Gelijk = Anders (Equal = Different)
A lot has been achieved in recent years in the field of gender equality and women's rights, but this development appears to be stagnating in the Netherlands as well as worldwide. In addition, the COVID-19 crisis and the Black Lives Matter movement make it painfully clear that we live in a world built on persistent systems of exclusion and oppression. Inequality has always been present. At the same time, awareness of this inequality is growing and less and less people are willing to settle for it.
This growing sentiment provides opportunities for change. The coming year must be a time of structural adjustments in the Netherlands and in the rest of the world. The Dutch elections of 2021 also have the potential to bring about change in the political field, with a new coalition agreement and a new coalition.
It is time to look at what connects us, rather than what sets us apart. It is high time for a different, positive voice.

OUR MESSAGE
In an ideal world, everyone is treated equally. At work, at home, and anywhere outside.
Everyone has equal rights and equal chances.
In reality, equal chances and rights are continuously under a lot of pressure everywhere, including The Netherlands. During the COVID-19 crisis, the inequality between groups of different backgrounds became painfully clear. Unfortunately, exclusion and discrimination based on sex, gender, background, class, religion, disability and sexual orientation is still happening on a large scale. Gelijk=Anders (Equal=Different) represents the power of equality. Everyone benefits from equal opportunities for women, men and gender non-conforming persons*. That's why we're building an inclusive movement for gender equality, together with you. Not only because we believe things cán change, but because they must change.
Because even though everyone is different, everyone is equal - Equal = Different.
